Katalin heads our Budapest office and forecasting projects
Katalin is the executive director of OGResearch Budapest. As head of division, she oversees forecasting and macroeconomic research projects.
She worked as a senior advisor
at the National Bank of Hungary prior to joining OGR’s Prague headquarters as a senior economist. She led a unit of 15 economists at the central bank
of Hungary and was responsible for the development of forecasting and policy
models, as well as preparing decision support materials for the Monetary Policy
Council.
Katalin also has an extensive background in academia, as she
taught graduate-level macroeconomics courses for several years at Corvinus
University of Budapest and Eötvös Loránd University.
Katalin Szilagyi holds a Ph.D. in
Economics.
