At the end of November, OGR consultants Anna Augusztin and Aron Iker visited Ukraine to conduct training for the Ministry of Economy as part of the SECO Macroeconomic Policy and Management Project. Since OGR recently took over the project, the primary objective of the technical assistance mission was to establish a new training approach, streamline the existing model file and forecasting structure, and develop a realistic forecast for key macroeconomic real sector variables. We believe the SECO MPMP project is highly relevant in Ukraine, as macroeconomic planning becomes especially challenging in a fast-changing environment, making a model-based approach even more valuable.
